They can be used, for example, to control the processability of products or to improve the properties of surfaces. Waxes can be of a natural, semisynthetic or synthetic origin. The fundamental properties are derived from the chemical basis, the melting point and the polarity of a wax. CERAMAT wax additives improves scratch resistance and can create a matting and soft-feel effect in solvent-borne coatings and also reduces settling. They are recommended for architectural coatings, wood coatings, industrial coatings and protective coatings. In leather coatings it also improves anti-blocking, matting, and the soft-feel effect.
